PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) continues to develop its best innovations to support the company’s transformation program. The application of innovation wrapped in technological developments is also ‘polished’ with a touch towards Artificial Intelligence (AI).

One of the innovation programs that leads to AI and is of great concern to Rekind is the application of AI machine learning concepts to reduce the potential for construction rework through Object Clash 3D Models on the Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Refinery Project.

The application of this concept certainly makes it easier for Rekind to work on the National Strategic Project (PSN), especially to avoid rework through the application of 3D Models. This step is important, because if it is not avoided, excesses will have a negative impact, both for the continuity of the project and the company.

For this innovation effort, Rekind was awarded third place in the Best Idea Category at the Pupuk Indonesia Quality Improvement Innovation (PIQI) 2023 event, Monday (11/09). “This award is very encouraging and shows Rekind’s enthusiasm to continue to develop innovation in whatever conditions currently surround it. For us, innovation must be able to provide significant value and impact on the company’s progress. “We also believe that this effort can encourage process effectiveness, cost efficiency and performance, both in projects and companies,” said President Director of Rekind, Triyani Utaminingsih, who attended the annual company innovation development event within the Pupuk Indonesia (PI) Group.

In an effort to improve company performance, in this event Rekind also included a number of innovations that were no less interesting, including prioritizing the use of E-docs (Electronic Document Control System). This system is used for the design review process carried out from the engineer to the project owner, and is often also used between project stakeholders. The impact is extraordinarily positive, especially shortening processing time and making documents more well organized. So, there is no need for special rooms to store various documents.

Apart from E-Docs, at the prestigious annual PT Pupuk Indonesia Group event, Rekind also included other innovations in the form of QUIS (Quality Information System) Development Design as Website-Based Digital Media for Monthly Quality Reporting in All Projects carried out by Rekind. Through this innovation, Rekind, project owners and stakeholders can directly monitor the progress of project work in detail every month. So, the implications are not only seen from the perspective of implementing project activities, but also the form of Rekind’s services in significantly increasing customer satisfaction.

“The implementation of these innovations also has positive implications, not only for project work, but can also significantly increase the satisfaction of Rekind customers,” added Triyani Utaminingsih.

Evidence of the positive implications of this innovation is not only rewarded at this year’s innovative event. Previously, Kadence International’s hard work was also recognized. The international research and marketing agency network released a report that in 2022 Rekind’s overall customer satisfaction level will reach 100%. The survey results also showed an increase of 5.9% compared to the same category in the previous year and was at 94.10%. The significant increase is in the direction of Rekind’s competence, which is considered superior to other EPC competitors, especially in terms of selecting and applying technology as well as timeliness in project work

By prioritizing the theme Accelerating Into Green Future, PIQI 2023 is expected to encourage the birth of new ideas, initiatives or tools to support the company’s business transformation towards a greener industry. Where Pupuk Indonesia Group is required to become a more environmentally friendly sector, and be able to provide benefits to stakeholders and shareholders to encourage sustainability. This reflects business dynamics and industrial challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic, so that companies realize the importance of business sustainability in responding to global issues and market demands, by opening new insights to encourage sustainable business transformation.
