First Gas In SSWJ 2 Offshore

With all effort of the hard works of all South Sumatera-West Java (SSWJ) project team, the first gas-in of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) ‘s gas from Sumatera to Muara Bekasi (west Java) through transmission pipes has successfully completed. The first gas-in; which was symbolized by the opening of valve in Labuhan Maringgai Gas Station, East Lampung; was carried out on schedule, which is targeted at the end of July 2007. The gas used in the first gas-in was came from Pagardewa site of PT Pertamina (Persero) and will be distributed to 160 customers in Bekasi, Jakarta, Karawang and Bogor areas. Such first gas-in was a subsequent gas-in of 11th March 2007 SSWJ pipes gas-in to Bojonegara gas receiving terminal, Banten. After such gas-in to Muara Bekasi, volume of gas distributed will be increased periodically, reaching 150-177 million MMSCFD in August 2007. At the end of the project, distribution of gas through Muara Bekasi - Rawa Maju distribution line and Cilegon – Banten distribution line, which currently still in final stage, will be integrated. Before the integration, volume of gas distributed through Cilegon-Banten distribution line can also be increased after the completion of permanent facility in Bojonegara Station on November 2007.

This outstanding achievement was the result of the hard works of SSWJ-2 Facility Station project team led by Mr. Setyo Wisudho and SSWJ-2 Offshore project team led by Mr. Thomas Gunawan. The braveness and success of SSWJ-2 Offshore team in installing the under sea pipes was one of REKIND’s milestone moment during execution of the project. Successful completion of the project will add REKIND’s experience in new “Business Line” of “Offshore Business”. Greatfullness ceremony of the completion of SSWJ-2 Offshore was arranged in Millenium Hotel, Jakarta, on August 3, 2007. First step of SSWJ project was successfully completed with flow of natural gas to industry and housing in West Java and Jakarta. We should great full to God Almighty for his bless so that we have the capability in supporting the nation through our products.
