First Gas In at Pagar Dewa Station

With enunciating thanks to Allah SWT, on Sunday March 11th, 2007, at 10.40am West Indonesian Time, the first gas-in from Pagardewa Receiving Terminal, South Sumatra, to West Java was officially began and initiated by Minister of Stated Owned Enterprises (Mr. Sugiharto) and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Mr. Purnomo Yusgiantoro), denoting by activation of siren. Starting from that time, the natural gas flowed smoothly. On the morning of March 14th 2007, the gas starts to flow to power plant in Krakatau Daya Listrik (KDL), Cilegon in the volume of approximately 20 mmscfd up to 40 mmscfd.
Also attend in such opportunity, the board director of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PT PGN), Mr. Adil Abbas and Mr. Sutikno; CEO of REKIND, Mr. Triharyo Soesilo; and some local government officials. This PGN’s project was carried out by Rekin in 18 (eighteen) months under the leadership of Mr. Setyo Wisudho as Project Manager for SSWJ 2 Facility Station Project. This gas in from South Sumatra to West Java through (approximately) 400 km pipes is a historical moment for Rekin. This is first time Rekin (under coordination of Mr. Marcus Ritonga) in charge for coordinating the commissioning of undersea pipes gas-in. In his speech, Indonesian pronounced that “…this is first time in Indonesian history, we flowed natural gas passing the Sunda Strait”.
