The Signing of MoU between Rekind and PT Badak NGL

On Monday, March 15, 2010, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rekind and PT Badak NGL was signed at the head office of PT Badak NGL, in Wisma Nusantara Building, Central Jakarta. Attending such event and signing the memorandum of understanding was the President Director of PT Badak NGL, Ir. Agus Haryanto and Rekind representative, Ir. Triharyo I. Soesilo, M.ChE.

Based on the core competencies of the respective company, Rekind and PT Badak NGL agreed to establish cooperation in the field of Operation and Maintenance or Operational and Maintenance Services of LNG Plant as well as Human Resources Development focusing on Energy business by utilizing the facilities, networking, competence and resources of both parties.

PT Badak NGL: is the subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), VICO Indonesia and JILCO (Japan Indonesia LNG Co) . This company is the largest LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) producer in Indonesia and in the world. Located in Bontang, East Kalimantan, PT Badak NGL owns 8 process trains (A - H) which are able to produce 22,5 Mtpa LNG (million metric ton LNG per year)

LNG: Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is natural gas processed to eliminate any impurity and heavy hydrocarbon and subsequently condensed as liquid at an atmospheric pressure by cooling the gas at the temperature of around -160° Celsius.
